Dr Nandapalan is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-specialty interests and training in shoulder, elbow and hand surgery. He specialises in arthroscopic, reconstructive and arthroplasty surgery for sports and degenerative conditions. He is the Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Hawkesbury District Health Service.

Dr Nandapalan completed his undergraduate Medical Degree in 2008 at the University of Newcastle. He was accepted into the Australian Orthopaedic Association training program in 2012 during which time he worked at the largest trauma centres and upper limb units in the Australia. 

He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in 2018. Dr Nandapalan then completed a Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship with the Sydney Shoulder Research Institute (SSRI).

Dr Nandapalan has a particular interest in upper limb and trauma surgery along with an enthusiasm for teaching. He is currently Head of the Surgery with the University of Notre Dame Hawkesbury Clinical school of Medicine and participates in education for the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Dr Nandapalan’s priority is to ensure his patients are well informed and can make educated decisions on how to manage their conditions. 

He works in both public and private hospitals in Sydney and regional NSW.
