Challon graduated from University of Western Australia and trained in cardiology at Royal Perth, WA. He completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship in London, Ontario and Canada.

Following an appointment as Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Perth Hospital, Challon's expertise in cardiac rhythm management led him to establish the cardiac electrophysiology services in Geelong. Challon is a key adviser to the Cardiac Electrophysiology programme at St John of God Geelong Hospital, where he has established 3-D Surface Mapping.

St John of God Geelong Hospital is the only regional hospital in Victoria that provides this invaluable service. His areas of special expertise include:

• electrophysiology studies
• catheter ablation
• defibrillator implantation
• permanent pacemaker implantation
• coronary angiography

 Challon is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is accredited at St John of God Geelong Hospital.
