Professor Allan Wang is a Shoulder and Upper Limb orthopaedic surgeon. He has particular interests in arthroscopic reconstruction for rotator cuff tendon injury, sports injury and dislocation of the shoulder joint, and total shoulder replacement using computer navigation.

Completing a PhD in 1998, Allan continues to be actively involved with research and teaching. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UWA, and University of Notre Dame.

Recent Professional service roles includes:

• Past President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia (2016-2018) and
• Past Scientific Secretary of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2012-2015)

Allan has supervised an accredited Fellowship in Shoulder surgery for many years and Allan believes research and teaching activity leads to best clinical practice. He frequently attends national and international meetings to lecture and learn from colleagues. In so doing Allan can remain current with new developments in shoulder surgery and can offer the latest techniques and treatment options to his patients.
