St John of God Health Care appoints experienced technology and corporate affairs executive to its leadership team

St John of God Health Care has appointed Sidone Thomas as its Chief Technology and Corporate Services Officer.

Sidone joins the organisation from her most recent role at Sydney Airport where she held the position as Chief Operating Officer responsible for the end-to-end passenger experience across the airport’s three terminals, encompassing aviation operations, facilities management, and technology, data and digital.

Sidone has more than 20 years’ experience across digital, data and innovation, operations, facilities management, marketing and customer leadership.

St John of God Health Care Group Chief Executive Officer Bryan Pyne said Sidone would bring a rare blend of operational and strategic expertise to the organisation.

“The Chief Technology and Corporate Services Officer is a new role for our organisation and essential to ensure we have the capability and capacity within our systems, platforms and digital workforce to respond to the changing health care environment,” Mr Pyne said.

“Sidone’s deep understanding of the importance of customer experience and insights will be valuable in guiding the ongoing strategic development and enhancement of our operations while keeping our patients and clients at the centre of our focus and experience.”

The Chief Technology and Corporate Services Officer is responsible for the organisation’s technology portfolio, as well as corporate services including facilities management and environment, admissions, catering, health information and coding, project delivery, governance and change.

Sidone will commence with St John of God Health Care on 29 April 2024.

St John of God Health Care now has 10 executives on its Group Executive Committee, with 50 per cent female representation.
