Ethics Committee
The St John of God Health
Care Ethics Committee functions as a Human Research
Ethics Committee and a Clinical Ethics Committee, operating in
accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council’s
Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research involving Humans.
In 2009/10, the Committee approved 61
research projects, up from 48 the previous year. The projects
covered a wide range of research, including oncology, pathology,
psychiatry and psychology, and colorectal surgery.
