Welcome to St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice

St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice caters for insured and non-insured patients and is situated on the grounds of St John of God Murdoch Hospital. It is a specialist 20-bed facility established in 1998 as a result of the vision and overwhelming support of the community, the Sisters of St John of God and St John of God Health Care. In February 2006, the Murdoch Community Hospice, as it was previously known, joined St John of God Health Care to become St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice.

The hospice provides comprehensive, outstanding, coordinated inpatient and outpatient specialist palliative care for patients and their families at its premises at 100 Murdoch Drive, Murdoch, WA.

Palliative care is provided for people of all ages who have a life limiting illness, with little or no prospect of cure, and for whom the primary goal is 'quality of life'.

A copy of the 2005 Memorandum of Understanding developed between Murdoch Community Hospice and St John of God Health Care for the integration of the hospice into the St John of God Health Care group is available below.
