Work experience
St John of God Pathology is committed to encouraging students
towards a future career in health and sciences by giving them an
opportunity to participate in work placement within our
laboratory environment. Through this program, students can expect
an experience that will provide some valuable insight into what
pathology does and how our important diagnostic work helps doctors
treat illness and disease.

Conditions
To be considered for the program:
- The learning institution sponsoring the
student must provide idemnity insurance cover for the period of the
placement.
- The student must be prepared to behave and
act within our Mission and Values. A
copy of the values statement will be provided to students before
they start work.
- The student must be prepared to comply with
Occupational Health and Safety requirements, including using
appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing
appropriate to the environment.
- The number of placements will be subject to
the availability of the department to accommodate the
placements.
- Once an application is accepted a minimum of
4 weeks will be required before commencement.

the program must do so in writing, accompanying authorisation from
