Vision Mission Values
Know our Vision to grow our Mission
Our Vision
At St John of God Accord, our Vision is that we live
and proclaim the healing touch of God's love where we invite people
to discover the richness and fullness of their lives, give them
reason to hope and a greater sense of their dignity.
In practice, all our service teams work together to advocate for
the most equitable system of disability support possible, both
within the service itself and throughout the sector. We constantly
review and develop practices and policies so that they do not
disenfranchise any person we support or any member of our support
team. We witness a different and better way of offering our service
every day. Accord recognises that it is imperative to always keep
the Vision at the forefront of decisions. Our Mission is then put
into action through practice that is always motivated by our
Vision. With our five core Values in place to guide us, our
service is as contemporary as possible.
Our Mission
St John of God Accord continues the healing mission of Jesus
Christ through its provision of services that promote life to
the full by enhancing the physical, intellectual, social and
spiritual dimensions of being human. Like our Vision, our
Mission and Values are a constant overlay in all our endeavours. We
encourage our staff to view Accord as a community of people with a
common purpose, providing love, respect, compassion, understanding
and mutual support for one another when providing our services.
Our Values
Our Values-based approach helps us know the Vision to grow our
Mission. Like the burst open pomegranate (the symbol in our logo),
an eloquent symbol of generosity, we are abundant in our
self-giving for others. Through our service and our five core
Values, as well as enriching, respecting and giving reason to hope
for those we support, we strive to help people come to fullness of
life.
