Other services
Apart from its hospitals and pathology services, St John of God
Health Care operates a number of other services within the
community, the majority of which are Social Outreach and Advocacy services
reaching out to people experiencing disadvantage to improve health
and wellbeing.
Following in the footsteps of our founders, we provide
continuity of care and support for our patients and clients from
birth to the end of life, during life's diverse stages and
challenges.

- Horizon Houses - Focusing on
providing long term housing, care and intensive support to young
people who would otherwise be homeless - houses in Victoria and
Western Australia.
- Waipuna - A specialist youth
agency in Christchurch, New Zealand, providing young people,
their families/whanau and the community with support and
opportunities to develop.
Early Years' Services
Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services
- Bloomsbury House - Support service
for people with co-occurring substance use and mental health
problems in Ballarat, Victoria.
- Casa Venegas - Service supporting
people with mental health problems who would otherwise be homeless
in Sydney, New South Wales.
- DAWN - The only home-based Drug
and Alcohol Withdrawal Network (DAWN) in Perth, Western
Australia.
- Murdoch Mental Health - A range of
community-based mental health programs run by our Murdoch Hospital
in Perth, Western Australia.
- Pomegranate House - Community
psychology service in Ballarat, Victoria, providing
counselling to low income earners.
- South West Community Drug
Service - A specialist team working with clients
within the south west of Western Australia to reduce the harm
associated with the use of alcohol and other drugs.

- Strong Family, Strong Culture - A
program working with Aboriginal pregnant women and their
families with children in the 0-5 age group to improve health and
wellbeing - Western Australia.
