Services available during your stay
Hairdresser
A private hairdresser can be arranged to visit the
hospital. This service is at the patient's expense and can be
arranged by phoning the ward receptionist on 5564 0620.
Housekeeping
Your room will be cleaned daily and includes the maintenance of
flowers.
Lounge facilities
The hospital has a patient lounge area with adjacent
balconies, comfortable seating, a television and tea and
coffee-making facilities. We also have a central courtyard with
seating that can be accessed via the entrance foyer. We ask that
children be supervised at all times in these areas.
Mail
Mail and facsimiles are delivered daily. Email messages sent
through our 'email a patient’ system are delivered as
soon as possible. Correspondence received after your discharge will
be forwarded on to you. Outgoing mail may be given to staff or left
at reception and is posted daily. Stamps are available at
reception.
Meals
We pride ourselves on our healthy, delicious and attractive
meals, prepared fresh daily by our catering department. A wide
range of choices is offered at mealtimes and each day you will
receive a menu card to fill in. For assistance, please ask
a caregiver. Our consultant dietitian is available to assist
you in making healthy eating selections. Patients with specific
dietary needs are able to discuss these with our chef.
Newspapers
A newspaper is delivered to your room each morning. Magazines
are also available for purchase at the café.
Volunteers
Our hospital has a dedicated volunteer group that assists
with many duties around the hospital and contributes greatly to the
friendly hospital atmosphere.
