Specifically designed to be aesthetically pleasing whilst also meeting essential clinical and infection control requirements, the Unit has carefully selected artwork to create a calming environment.

Patient admission is via surgeon/medical consultant referral only and visitors are restricted to family, and at any one time there should only be two visitors at the bedside.

Visiting times are planned around patient care and should be arranged with nurses.

In the interests of patient safety, flowers are not allowed in the Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit.
