Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit
Our Intensive
Care and Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU) features state of the art
equipment, service facilities and design. Located on level 3 of the
Hospital, this specialised Unit includes 20 beds with
multiple, single and shared room options, providing patients with
the best possible care. 
Other features include:
- Isolation rooms (a positive pressure room for
immune deficient patients, and a negative pressure room for
infectious patients)
- Ceiling mounted patient services'
pendants
- Overhead patient lifter hoists on ceiling
tracks
- Separate staff stations providing maximum
vision to patient areas
- Comfortable waiting rooms with a video
intercom link to staff stations

Specifically designed to be aesthetically pleasing whilst also
meeting essential clinical and infection control requirements, the
Unit has carefully selected artwork to create a calming
environment.
Patient admission is via surgeon/medical consultant
referral only and visitors are restricted to family, and at
any one time there should only be two visitors at
the bedside.
Visiting times are planned around
patient care and should be arranged with nurses.
In the interests of patient safety, flowers are not allowed in
the Intensive Care
and Coronary Care Unit.
