Subi Volunteers
Volunteers are an important part of our
health care team and the contributions they make, whether
large or small, are considered an integral part of patient
care.
Our Volunteers are men and women of all ages committed to assisting
in the wellbeing and care of patients. Volunteers come from a
variety of backgrounds and experiences and enjoy the challenge of
helping people in need in a variety of ways.

What are the benefits of becoming a Volunteer?
The major benefit of being involved in the
Volunteer Program is the satisfaction gained from helping and
caring for patients. Knowing that you are making a difference
to someone else’s life and feeling that they appreciate your
service is very rewarding.
We provide the opportunity for all Volunteers to meet and
socialise at quarterly lunches and other functions throughout
the year and continually recognise the important
service they provide.
Being a volunteer can also help build self-esteem and
confidence and help you gain valuable experience in a working
environment.
Orientation
A full day of orientation, including a tour of the
Hospital, is essential prior to commencing as a
Volunteer. Our Orientation Day is conducted on a Monday
between 8.30am and 5pm, with morning tea, lunch and
afternoon tea provided.
