Cardiac and Vascular Laboratory
Our specialised Cardiac and Vascular Intervention Laboratory
(CVIL) has two newly refurbished theatres. The procedures
performed are typically via the groin area and under live imaging.
Some procedures require general anaesthetic. 
The types of procedures performed in CVIL are:
- Cardiac diagnostic and intervention, including GPS mapping
- Endovascular diagnostic and intervention
- Electrophysiology diagnostic and arrhythmia
treatment
The laboratory is staffed by Registered Nurses, Radiographers
and Patient Care Assistants who work along side Cardiologists and
Vascular Surgeons.
Depending on the type of procedure you require, after it is
completed you will be transferred to our recovery room or
the Intensive Care/Coronary Care Unit.
