For General Practitioners

We provide many services that are part of total patient care for a General Practitioner.

• Services such as radiology serviced by SKG, St John Of God Pathology, physiotherapy through SportsMed including hydrotherapy pool, a 24 hour Chest Pain Centre, Cardiac Catheter Laboratories, and 24 hour on-call cardiology by Western Cardiology.
• State of the art chemotherapy services, along with oncology and palliative care are provided through the Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
• A gastroenterology suite accepting open access referrals for endoscopy and colonoscopy is also located at the Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
• We provide patient care across general and specialist surgical areas, medical and obstetric and gynecology services. The medical service includes a Transitional Care Unit for rehabilitation of geriatric or chronic stay patients.
• New and expanded Intensive and Coronary Care provide the total back up services required for patient care.
• The Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Network which accepts referral for suitable home detox patients is located on the campus along with The Raphael Centre which caters for postnatal depression,
  antenatal well being, and support for mothers, fathers and families mental health.
• We also offer a General Practice Continuing Professional Development education program which delivers contemporary and relevant education for GPs around patient care and also provides information about services accessible to the GP for their patients on referral.
• The Hospital's Grand Rounds are telecast live across rural WA and are open to all general practitioners within the medical community.
• The Director of Doctor Liaison sits on the Hospital Medical Advisory Committee, is a St John of God Health Care Board Member and sits on the Drug and Therapeutics committee providing an important conduit for General Practice.
