Psychogeriatric disorders
A program specialising in skills training to promote
independent living and healthy aging
The psychogeriatric unit is staffed by an expert
multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers,
psychologists and pharmacists. In collaboration with each patient,
an individual treatment plan is developed to provide a unique
and specialised program.
Treatment plans include individual sessions with psychiatrists
and nurses as well as group therapy. The group program is
designed to help patients understand the nature of their disorder
and to develop effective strategies to manage their disorder and
reduce the likelihood of relapse.
The program uses a holistic approach which includes a focus on
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being on the journey
to recovery.
