Graduate Nurse Program
Graduates can begin their careers with a broad range of nursing
experiences in a 17-week rotation program at our three Melbourne
hospitals. We offer:
- Acute Med Surgical Nursing including Peri-operative care (and
the possibility of a short accident and emergency experience) while
at St John of God Hospital Berwick.
- Mental Health Care (Psychiatric and Drug & Alcohol) at St
John of God Pinelodge Clinic.
- Rehabilitation care at St John of God Nepean Rehabilitation
Hospital.
- St John of God Graduate Program for Division One
Registered Nurses has been approved by Australian Catholic
University (ACU) as equivalent to Specialty Practice One in the
Master of Health Sciences (Clinical Practice) Program.
- Part time option - a minimum of 4 days per week may be
considered.
Graduates successfully completing the program are eligible to
apply to ACU for a credit toward future study.
