Environmental awards
The work of St John of God Health Care's hospitals are
acknowledged annually at our Group EnviroAwards, presented by
Group Chief Executive Officer Dr Michael Stanford. Awards are
presented to divisions for their commitment to protecting the
environment for future generations by reducing energy, water, waste
and greenhouse gas emissions.
The Waste Minimisation Award for reducing
waste and increasing recycling was awarded to St John of
God Pinelodge Clinic.
The Pinelodge team has reduced the amount of
waste going to landfill by over 260,000 litres and has doubled
recycling. We have also encouraged client and caregiver
participation in our waste management programs.
