Nurse of the Year
In August 2009, Suzie Hooper won the inaugural
Catholic Health Australia Nurse of the Year Award for her work on
St John of God Nepean Rehabilitation Hospital’s innovative cancer
program. The holistic program covers a variety of topics relevant
to a patient’s 'survivorship', helping them to regain a sense of
physical and emotional well being.
Employer of
Choice
In March 2010, St John of God Health Care received
an Employer of Choice for Women award for the eighth
consecutive year. The award acknowledges the policies and
practices through which St John of God Nepean Rehabiliation
Hospital supports its predominantly female
workforce; valuing their family commitments and respecting
work-life balance through a range of flexible work options.
