If you have private health insurance, you will need
to pay your health fund excess before or on the day of
admission. After discharge your account will be forwarded to
the health fund on your behalf. Following the fund's payment you
will receive an invoice for the balance, payable to the
hospital.
If you do not have private health insurance, you will be
asked to pay all estimated costs before or on the day of
admission. Uninsured maternity patients must pay all
estimated costs at least four to six weeks before due birthing
date.
Patients with travel insurance or overseas health funds must
also settle all estimated costs before or on the day of
admission.
All admissions for work related or and/or motor vehicle injury
cases must attain prior approval from the relevant insurance
company.
Please pay any outstanding excess/co-payments (eg pharmacy)
during office hours before leaving the hospital.
