Our past events
Mental Health Week
To celebrate Mental Health Week (9 – 15 October) at Murdoch we
had two displays each with relevant resources for passers by to
read/take and a blank white canvas.
Passers by were encouraged to take the time to pause and answer
the question at each canvas (by writing / drawing their answer),
the questions were:
‘How do you feel right now?’ and ‘how do you look after your
mental health? ‘
The response was tremendous and the completed canvas will be
added to the artwork collection currently at Ferns House.

mental health stand at the Women of the World – Health Information
Day at the Italian Club in Fremantle.
The event hosted by Breastscreen WA, had a ‘check – out‘ theme
whereby women were encouraged to go around and ‘check in/out’ of
each stand to find out further information on important health
issues such as; diabetes, cervical cancer, nutrition and
cancer.
Women were also encouraged to participate in a free pilates and
zumba class!
