Social & Emotional Well Being Workers lead camp

soa camp

Social & Emotional Well - Being workers, Lee-Anne Mason and Kristy Mippy, recently lead group of 6 ladies (5 Aboriginal ladies and Cathy Brooker the Doctor from the Street Doctor program) on a camp to the Waroora Station from Monday 7 February – Saturday 11 February.

The trip funded by the City of Cockburn Co-Health, was provided as a break away from family and stresses and to visit the Yamaji country (as only 2 of the 5 ladies were Yamaji, the others are Nynungar)

Whilst staying on the sheep station at Warroora, the ladies went fishing, swimming and also did sight seeing in Coral Bay and Carnarvon.

All ladies had a great time and the health of some of the woman improved – one of the ladies who normally doesn’t exercise even did some swimming!
