Oncology

Murdoch ChemoOncology services at St John of God Hospital Murdoch is a rapidly growing service providing quality care for patients receiving chemotherapy treatments for a variety of conditions including cancer, haematology disorders, rheumatology and gastroenterology patients. We have dedicated specialist staff to meet the treatment needs of this group of patients.

The outpatient chemotherapy service operates Monday to Friday. St John of God Health Campus offers comprehensive support to outpatients with pharmacy, pathology, radiology and allied health professionals including dietician available.

The chemotherapy clinic is easily accessible being on the ground floor of the main hospital. It is located on the northern side of Thomas Furlong Ward which boasts panoramic views over the leafy grounds of the hospital campus.

Generally for your first appointment we will schedule a longer appointment so that the specialist nurses and or pharmacist can discuss your treatment in more detail. Patients are encouraged to have a relative or support person in attendance.

The chemotherapy unit is bright and airy and the treatments are administered to patients in comfortable leather recliner chairs.
