In keeping with our Mission we look to grow and develop our caregivers to ‘their full potential’ hence personal development is seen as a very important aspect of being employed as a caregiver at St John of God Hospital Murdoch.

Leadership program

At St John of God Hospital Murdoch, we believe in providing opportunities that allow our caregivers to reach their full potential. To assist, numerous leadership programs are offered to help develop both professionally and personally.

The Diploma of Management promotes leadership opportunities by providing participants with an understanding of the key roles and responsibilities of managing within St John of God Health Care. This program is for those who are new to the role of manager; team leaders who want to build their confidence and competence in their role; and others who are likely to relieve in a management position.

Personal growth

We offer a range of personal development opportunities and programs such as the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and attendance at Justin Belitz’s Successful Living Program. In additional, we have a two-day Gifting Program where caregivers have an opportunity to relax, share their stories and spend time re-discovering their own personal giftedness.

Professional Development

Our dedicated Learning and Development Team facilitates an oustanding training and mentoring program for our nurses and midwives.
