Volunteer Positions

Our Volunteer Program promotes community involvement and
provides a vital link between the local community and our hospital
for the enrichment of both. We place emphasis on recognising the
significant contribution made by our volunteers. All
contributions, whether large or small, are an integral part of
patient care.
Benefits of being a volunteer
Being a volunteer at our hospital or community hospice means you are part of a team helping to
care for our patients. Knowing we appreciate your service is very
rewarding.
Our 300 volunteers provide a range of services to patients,
their families and our caregivers in 17 different areas within our
hospital and community hospice.
Our volunteers raise funds that assist the hospital in many
ways.
Orientation
A day of orientation including a hospital tour is essential
prior to commencement as a Volunteer. During the Interview time the
Volunteer Coordinator will confirm a date to complete Orientation.
Volunteers who have applied for Hospice will need to undergo
additional palliative care training once placed in a position.
