New entrances herald next phase of Murdoch redevelopment

A new main entrance to St John of God Hospital Murdoch will open on Saturday 24 September.

The existing entrance off Murdoch Drive will close, and a new entrance just around the corner off Barry Marshall Parade will open. Temporary signage and traffic management will be in place to guide campus visitors to the new entrance

Two further entrances for staff, medical practitioners and suppliers will also open further along Barry Marshall Parade and Fiona Wood Road.

A new entrance was required for Murdoch as part of the development of the Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Murdoch Precinct.

Murdoch Chief Executive Officer Peter Mott said the new entrances would help to ease potential traffic congestion in the Murdoch precinct.

“As our hospital grows, these new entrances will ensure that our patients, visitors, caregivers and medical practitioners will be able to easily make their way into the campus.

These new entrances herald a new phase for the campus and the whole precinct, with our redevelopment project entering the construction phase,” said Mr Mott.

“It will be a busy campus, and while every effort will be made to avoid inconvenience, some delays may occur and we ask for your patience,” he said.
