Peter MottPeter Mott
Chief Executive Officer

Peter has more than 30 years experience in the Western Australian health industry in a range of management, industrial relations and health policy roles in the public and private sectors. He has tertiary qualifications in health and business administration as well as a Masters in Industrial Relations. Peter’s commitment to the community sees him contribute his expertise on a number of boards, including Lifeline WA and John XXIII College Council. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Management, Australian Institute of Company Directors, and Australian Institute of Management.

 

Colin YOungColin Young
Director of Finance

Prior to his appointment at St John of God Hospital Murdoch, Colin held the position of Business Manager at the Mount Hospital. He has extensive experience at a senior management level in delivery of finance services in health care organisations and hospitals Australia wide. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Economics and Finance, a Masters of Accounting and is a Certified Practising Accountant.

 

 

Adam ColemanAdam Coleman
Director of Nursing

Adam comes to Murdoch with an extensive employment history of over 20 years in Healthcare, in positions ranging from Nurse Educator at St George Hospital in Kogorah NSW early in his career, Clinical Nurse Manager of ICU at Fremantle Hospital, to his most recent position as Nursing Director Critical Care at Fremantle Hospital.

 

 

Sarah HessionSarah Hession
Deputy Director of Nursing - Medical/Acute Care

Sarah has a strong background in health management at St John of God Hospital, Murdoch with previous appointments as Nurse Manager, Angiography and Endoscopy Suites. Sarah has completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and is a member of the Royal College of Nursing.

 

 

Helen McAllister
Deputy Director of Nursing – Surgical Services

Helen has extensive experience in health management both in NSW and WA. She has a long employment history with St John of God Hospitals both at Subiaco and Murdoch and she has held a range of leadership positions. Prior to this appointment Helen was the Manager of Midwifery Services at Murdoch. Helen has a keen interested in research and has co-authored international and Australian journal articles. Her qualifications include certificates in Nursing, Midwifery, Child & Family Health, Bachelor Health Science (Management) and Graduate Certificate in Business.

 

Colin Keogh

Colin Keogh
Director of Mission

Colin has a broad range of professional experience, having held positions with the WA Council of Social Services, the Minister for Community Services, Lecturer at UWA and Edith Cowan University and more recently as Director Family Information and Adoption Services. He has completed a Masters of Arts in Public Policy, a Bachelor of Social Work and has studied both Theology and Philosophy.

 

Leanne MerchantLeanne Merchant
Director Workforce

Leanne has worked at the hospital for 12 years and held the position of Manager Human Resources for over four years. Leanne has completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management and has extensive experience in Enterprise Bargaining Agreement negotiations.

 

Vanessa Unwin

Vanessa Unwin
Director Quality and Risk Management

Vanessa has developed extensive experience in nursing management since commencing in health care in 1991.  She has worked at St Vincent’s Hospital, Toowoomba in Quality and Clinical Risk Management and five years as Nurse Manager, Orthopaedics.  Initially, Vanessa fulfilled the roles of Clinical Audit Nurse and Clinical Risk Manager at St John of God Hospital Murdoch prior to her appointment as Deputy Director of Nursing – Surgical Services. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Health Management and is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma/ Masters of Health Management

 

Leanne Milligan

Leanne Milligan
Director Planning and Strategy

Leanne comes to St John of God Hospital Murdoch with extensive experience in the health sector, having worked with St John of God Health Care for 16 years in various senior leadership roles. She has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Information Systems, Bachelor of Laws and is a Certified Practising Accountant.  Leanne is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
