St John of God Murdoch Hospital is part of St John of God Health Care Inc, a not-for-profit Catholic organisation dedicated to furthering the healing mission of Jesus Christ.

Established in 1994 to provide comprehensive, quality health services for patients in Perth’s southern suburbs, St John of God Murdoch Hospital is now one of Australia’s leading private health campuses.

We have continued to grow and improve our services to meet contemporary standards and today, the hospital has 363 beds including a 20 bed hospice, a 24-hour emergency department, and a wide range of clinical and diagnostic services including medical, surgical, paediatric, maternity, palliative care and critical and coronary care.

Our onsite medical clinic, with over 140 consulting specialists, provides support services such as radiology, physiotherapy, pathology and nuclear medicine.  Other facilities include a retail pharmacy and two cafés. Also located on-site is a 12-bed freestanding day surgery centre.

Our care is distinctive with the incorporation of mission and values into everyday activities, with more than 1400 caregivers providing a warm and welcoming environment to meet our patients' every need during their stay. Our nurses and midwives are recognised for their ability to combine dedicated, patient focused care with the highest levels of clinical excellence.

The Hospital also has affiliations or partner programs with teaching institutions such as the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, and the University of Notre Dame.
