Visiting the hospice
St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice provides specialist
palliative care on the basis of need.
Part of St John of God Hospital Murdoch, the hospice is
situated in the hospital's grounds. The purpose built 20 bed
facility was established in 1998 as a result of the vision and
overwhelming support of the Community, Sisters of St John of God
and St John of God Health Care.
Mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings attended a remembrance service at St John of God Murdoch Hospital in September for those who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage or stillbirth.
Throughout Mental Health Week in mid-October, St John of God Murdoch Community Mental Health reached out to the community to encourage people to seek help if they need it.
Toes were tapping and heads were swaying as music students from the University of Western Australia treated patients, visitors and staff at St John of God Murdoch Hospital to a musical performance in October.
