Visiting the hospice
St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice provides specialist
palliative care on the basis of need.
Part of St John of God Hospital Murdoch, the hospice is
situated in the hospital's grounds. The purpose built 20 bed
facility was established in 1998 as a result of the vision and
overwhelming support of the Community, Sisters of St John of God
and St John of God Health Care.
Group CEO, Dr Michael Stanford, was the subject of a live portrait sitting in the welcoming foyer of St John of God Murdoch Hospital yesterday as part of St John of God Health Care’s partnership with the acclaimed Black Swan Prize for Portraiture.
Portraits from the Black Swan Prize are on display at our hospitals in Midland, Subiaco and Murdoch. Artists will also be offering 15-minute portraits to patients, visitors and caregivers on selected dates.
Mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings attended a remembrance service at St John of God Murdoch Hospital in September for those who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage or stillbirth.
