Visiting the hospice
St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice provides specialist
palliative care on the basis of need.
Part of St John of God Hospital Murdoch, the hospice is
situated in the hospital's grounds. The purpose built 20 bed
facility was established in 1998 as a result of the vision and
overwhelming support of the Community, Sisters of St John of God
and St John of God Health Care.
The recently unveiled chapel at St John of God Murdoch Hospital will provide the venue for a new Remembrance Service for families who have experienced the loss of a baby.
Several St John of God caregivers have joined hundreds of thousands of young pilgrims in Krakow, Poland, this week to celebrate World Youth Day.
Global health organisation surveyors Press Ganey have selected St John of God Murdoch Hospital’s Emergency Department as a finalist in its 2016 Success Story Awards for the department’s improvements in managing patient’s pain.
