Visiting hours

Visiting hours: 3.00pm to 8.00pm daily.

Exemptions apply for essential visitors

Visit our COVID-19 visitor information hub.

Exemptions to these restricted hours will be considered, and would include end of life visitors, parents/guardians, birth partners, neonatal parents and visits for urgent clinical decision making.

WiFi

Staying in touch with loved ones isn’t limited to visiting hours with our hospital WiFi. Both patients and visitors can enjoy free internet access.

To access the hospital WiFi:

  • connect to the “Guest” wireless network
  • enter your details and accept terms and conditions
  • click the “Hotspot Login” button.

Meals

Hospital meals and nutrition are an integral part of a patient’s recovery and visitors are welcome to dine with patients.

Our menus are full of fresh, seasonal and nutritious meals offering a wide selection of choice. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements.

Access to the hospital

Access to the Main Hospital Building is via the Main Hospital Entry on Thirlmere Road, Mt Lawley. You will be greeted by our concierge service who will conduct COVID-19 screening and check your vaccine requirements. 

A concierge service is in place to support entrance to the Day Therapy Unit, Restorative Unit and Ursula Frayne Unit. 

Specialist appointments are held in Killowen House or the Medical Centre.

Patient and visitor feedback

Your feedback is important and helps us to continually improve our patient care and recognise when we are doing things well. You can provide feedback by:

  • responding to the text message survey you will receive at discharge 
  • talking to one of the nursing caregivers, or the nurse unit manager
  • email [email protected] and provide your contact details so that we can get in contact with you.

Smoke-free grounds

Your health and well-being is our priority.

St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital is a smoke-free zone. Smoking is not permitted in any building, outdoor area or vehicle within the boundary of our site.

Telehealth

Telehealth offers the ability to access care from the home, work or other private space without the need for a face-to-face appointment.

St John of God Health Care uses both phone and video call to connect you to your healthcare providers.
