Social Outreach and Advocacy

We want to contribute toward just and inclusive communities where everyone's dignity is respected and supported.

Reaching out to people experiencing disadvantage to improve
health and wellbeing.

While St John of God Health Care is primarily known for its hospitals and pathology services, we also have a long heritage
in working with and helping people within the community.

We involve ourselves in partnerships with others in a range of activities because we know true health involves all aspects of
the  environment and conditions in which people live and work.

Young people

Our group-wide Social Outreach & Advocacy program provides a range of services to local, national and international communities.

Our Social Outreach and Advocacy services include the South West Community Drug Team, providing drug and alcohol services to the community, and other activities.

Catering to community needs

We understand that care in the community is increasingly
important both as a support for and an alternative to hospital-based care.

St John of God Hospital Bunbury works closely with local government health providers, local government and other stakeholder groups with the aim of delivery diverse and evolving programs to cater for the varied health and wellbeing needs of our community.
