Services during your stay

 

We want to ensure that you have access to facilities that you would expect at home. We offer a range of services for you to enjoy during your stay.

Meals

We have a fully equipped onsite kitchen where meals are prepared daily by our experienced Chef. Our menus are full of fresh, seasonal and nutritious meals offering a wide selection of choice. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements.

Visitors are welcome to dine with you. We ask that visitor meals are paid for at the time of discharge.

Meals are served at the following times:

  • Breakfast         8am
  • Morning tea     10am
  • Lunch             12noon
  • Afternoon tea   2pm
  • Dinner             5pm
  • Supper            7.15 pm

Please note that meals times may vary.

Housekeeping

All rooms and facilities are cleaned daily including your bed linen. 

To reduce our impact on the environment, we have active recycling, energy and water conservation programs in place throughout the hospital.

Mail

Mail is delivered to your room daily.  People wishing to send mail to patients should clearly mark the patient's full name and room or ward number on the envelope. Outgoing mail may be given to caregivers or left at reception and will be posted daily. We request that outgoing mail is appropriately addressed and stamped.

We also have an eCard facility on our website, which enables people to choose and send an eCard to patients. Please see the eCard item on the left-hand menu bar.

Flowers

Flowers can be delivered directly to your room. 

Hairdresser

A private hairdresser can be arranged to visit the Hospital, please organise this through the reception desk.  

Gardens

A tranquillity garden / courtyard is situated at the centre of the hospital building next to the Maternity Unit. It has seating in pleasant surroundings and is available for your use. We ask that children be supervised in these areas at all times.

Volunteers' Trolley

A trolley service will visit your ward where you can purchase newspapers, magazines, toiletries, confectionary etc. This service is Monday – Friday when volunteers are available.
