Welcoming parents and babies

Our maternity ward welcomes around 400 babies each year.

We have been caring for women and their families for almost 50 years.

We offer a high standard of clinical care, education and ongoing support in the following areas:

  • Pre pregnancy evenings
  • Bookings
  • Childbirth education
  • Foetal monitoring and ultrasound facilities
  • 24 hour midwifery and medical care
  • Special care nursery

  • Domiciliary (home) follow-up

Maternity facilities

Our facilities are modern and spacious with single room accommodation. Partners can stay overnight and enjoy unrestricted visiting. Meals are provided for partners on the day of baby’s birth.

Having a baby is a special and wonderful experience and it is normal to feel anxious about it. We look forward to caring for you during this time and welcome your questions and requests. If at any stage you have issues about your care, please speak to the midwife in charge or our Complaints Officer, so that the issue can be rectified.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are 3-8pm. Husbands/partners enjoy unrestricted visiting.
