The community has an expectation that they will receive a high
level of care and service when they are admitted to a private
hospital. We are proud to provide the highest quality medical
services and surgical care for our patients. We strive for
'excellence in care' and are accredited by the Australian Council of Healthcare
Standards, always working to improve our services and the ways
we deliver them.
Australian Council on Healthcare Standards
We undertake a review every two years by the Australian
Council on Healthcare Standards and at our last Accreditation
survey in 2009, we passed all mandatory requirements and gained
Extensive Achievement (EA) assessments, the second highest
possible, in six of the fourteen mandatory criteria. This
assessment covered clinical and non-clinical areas, with
acclamation in particular areas such as evaluation of care,
infection control, constructive use of feedback, credentialing
procedures for medical and allied health staff and safety
management.
This external audit result confirmed our ongoing commitment to,
and achievement in clinical quality and patient safety.
The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards is an
independent, not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to improving
the quality of health care in Australia. Accreditation is a formal
process to assist in the delivery of safe, high quality health care
based on standards and processes devised and developed by health
care professionals for health care services.
