St John of God Hospital Ballarat has agreements with most major
health funds.
Please ensure you are aware of your level of
insurance cover, including pre-existing condition rules and
exclusions, and that you understand your responsibilities for any
costs that you may incur. The patient services staff will be happy
to discuss fee structure at any time and can be contacted on 5320
2432.
Known excesses and charges are to be paid
prior to or upon admission, and any further out-of-pocket costs
incurred during your stay will be payable on discharge at
discharges office.
Please note that your hospital account may
consist of the following items:
- Theatre fees
- Prostheses
- Accommodation
- Pharmacy
- Sundry items
In most instances your health fund will cover
the expenses listed above. This does of course depend on your level
of cover held and whether or not the hospital has a contract with
the Health Fund concerned.
Your hospital account does not include:
- Your Doctor or Surgeon’s account
- Your anaesthetist's account
- Radiology expenses
- Pathology expenses
- Other allied services
