Supporting our community
We want to contribute towards just and inclusive
communities where the dignity of each individual is respected and
supported.
St John of God Health Care recognises that the
provision of care and relief to people who are oppressed,
materially poor, powerless and marginalised is central to our
mission of healing. In support of our belief that true health
encompasses all aspects of the environment and conditions in which
people live and work, we are involved in partnerships with a
diverse range of organisations to provide services to disadvantaged
members of society.
The Social
Outreach and Advocacy program works to identify unmet need and
each year directs a portion of revenue to programs within Ballarat
and surrounds.
The program does not replicate services,
rather, it focuses on those needs which are currently not being
met.
