Cardiac services
Our dedicated team of medical specialists and
experienced staff are committed to providing total cardiac care
including interventional cardiology, intensive care and coronary
care services, and cardiac rehabilitation. Cardiology patients in
Ballarat and across Western Victoria now have closer access to
vital treatment options through our state-of-the-art
cardiac and vascular catheter laboratory. Procedures such as
angiography, pacemaker and implantable defibrillator insertions and
percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) are performed in the
catheter laboratory.
Our inpatient cardiac facilities consist of a 7 bed fully
monitored intensive and coronary care unit and a 10 bed
cardiology ward. Both units are supported by the latest technology
and expert medical and nursing staff.
