Dr Jeffrey Alison has special expertise in all facets of Cardiac Rhythm Management having more than 20 years’ clinical experience in this subspecialty (often referred to as “Electrophysiology and Pacing”).

He consults and advises on management of both ambulatory and hospitalised patients with heart rhythm disorders. When required, he performs interventional procedures such as electrophysiology studies, catheter ablation, device therapy with pacemakers and implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure (“biventricular pacing”).

Jeff has been a staff specialist in Cardiology and Electrophysiology within Southern Health since 1992 and an Honorary Specialist in Electrophysiology at Royal Children’s Hospital since 1996. He is currently a member of the Senior Medical Staff at Southern Health and is Head of Cardiac Rhythm Management Services, MonashHeart. He is also accredited as a visiting cardiologist at Linacre Private Hospital, Cabrini Hospital (Malvern & Brighton), Epworth Hospital and St John of God Hospital, Ballarat.

When not at work, Jeff enjoys travel, relaxing with a book or magazine and a glass of red wine, photography, cooking and general handyman jobs around home. He has been a Demons supporter since birth and maintains dual membership of MFC & MCC.
