Nurse the Nation
Put on your backpack, hitch your caravan, we
need travelling nurses and midwives
Nurse the Nation is an exciting initiative
designed for travelling nurses and midwives to explore the
Catholic Healthcare Australia network of
hospitals, aged care centres and other health care facilities so
they may gain short term employment as they travel around
Australia.
We know that many nurses and midwives are nearing retirement
age, with many of them considering travel in their retirement
years.
There are also many new graduates entering the nursing workforce
with ambitions to use their nursing degree to travel, whether that
is interstate or overseas.
The Nurse the Nation program,
of which we are a participating member, gives nurses and
midwives a place to go to plan their travels, and make their plans
around what suits them best. It is first and foremost a
tourism-style website that also has information on Catholic
Healthcare Australia facilities they can work at whilst on their
travels.
If you are a nurse or midwife interested in
travelling, or know of nurses or midwives travelling around
Australia, visit Nurse the Nation and
see what short term employment opportunities are available at St
John of God Health Care hospitals.
