Great Result in Employee Satisfaction Survey

The results of the St John of God Health Care 2009 Employee Satisfaction Survey have reinforced the organisation’s status as a preferred employer, with four hospitals yielding employee satisfaction scores higher than 92% of the hospital benchmark.

Pinelodge Clinic, a psychiatric and drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Dandenong, topped the list with a satisfaction score in the 99th percentile (meaning better than 99% of the hospital benchmark). Other high-scoring hospitals were Nepean Rehabilitation (98th percentile), Berwick Hospital (95th percentile) and Warrnambool Hospital (92nd percentile).

St John of God Health Care uses the results of annual Employee Satisfaction Surveys, conducted by the independent Press Ganey firm, as part of its ongoing commitment to improving key areas affecting employee satisfaction, exemplified by considerably higher 2009 results in a number of areas that returned relatively weaker results in previous years.

The survey results come just a few months after St John of God Health Care was awarded the government’s Employer of Choice for Women Award for the eighth consecutive year; an acknowledgement of its strong commitment to employee satisfaction and flexible work policies.
